Begins

This event is an ‘add-on’ to David Whyte’s 2026 Ashland event, led by Invitas faculty Michelle Latvala. Through small-group conversation, we’ll work with the themes from David’s event and begin carrying them into our own lives.
David’s words have a way of staying with you long after the room empties — but where do they go from there? This small gathering, led by Invitas faculty Michelle Latvala, is a chance to sit with what surfaced during the Ashland event and begin carrying it into the conversations that make up our daily lives.
This session follows directly from David’s event. Michelle will draw on the themes he’s opened up over the weekend, and through brief conversation and time in small groups, we’ll work through what it might mean to bring those themes home — into a difficult conversation with a colleague, a quiet moment with family, the way we look toward our own future.
Participants will also be introduced to the framework of the Seven Elements of Conversational Leadership that forms the basis of David’s work in organizations and daily life — compelling and highly applicable tools for navigating transitions internally and externally.
Attendance at David Whyte’s Ashland event on Sunday, September 20th ($95) is recommended, but not required.
