Explore Conversational Leadership with a small group of peers

Introductory Salons are intimate, virtual gatherings designed as an invitation into the practice of Conversational Leadership. As the name suggests, a Salon is a space for exploration and experience; it is not a “training” per se.

Each hour-and-forty-five-minute session is dedicated to a single Element, explored through a blend of facilitator-led overviews and direct, personal engagement.

The Seven Elements:

  • Stopping the Conversation You Are Having Now
  • Making a Friend of the Unknown
  • Coming to Ground
  • Following the Path of Robust Vulnerability
  • Cultivating Artistry
  • Making the Invitation
  • The Harvest of Presence

Grounded in poetry, these sessions emphasize both the experience and the understanding of each of the Seven Elements through:

EVOCATIVE INQUIRY: Moving beyond the surface through facilitated overviews and small and whole-group reflection.

COLLABORATIVE REFLECTION: Small-group and paired exercises that allow you to hear your own and others’ voices in relation to the work.

INTEGRATED PRACTICE: Light assignments and the opportunity to connect with others between sessions to help you carry the work into your daily life and vocation.

These Salons offer a practical immersion into what it means to be more authentically present to your work, your community, and yourself.

We are excited to offer this salon designed for those in the early part of their vocational life. This is an opportunity to explore the Seven Elements with peers at a similar stage of development.

What Participants Say

I feel more openness to future possibilities in my life; less urgency, more excitement, more offering of grace to myself and more offering of my presence to others.

Renee O.

I feel more aligned with what I'm doing in this season of life. I feel like it was exactly what I needed at the right time.

Shanice J.

My participation in the Invitas Salon has reshaped how I explore, evaluate and pivot in the conversations I'm having, both internally as well as externally... I am better equipped to listen and to be present, to make observations and to ask for input.

Salon Participant

The session breakout groups were wonderful, and as we got to know one another, I felt very heard, and I was happy to hear whoever was in my group!

Mike S.

The container of the seven elements and the people it brought together provided a space in which I found it easy to be genuine and forthcoming.

John F.

Yes. We want the Salon to be accessible to anyone with a sincere call to this work, regardless of their current financial situation. We are especially committed to supporting those in non-profit, community health, and service-oriented roles, as well as independent practitioners in vocational transition. If a scholarship would make your participation possible, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We are happy to find a path that works for you.
Why are Salon registrations limited?

Salons are experiential and thrive on participant contributions. We cap enrollment to ensure a lively and engaging experience for all.
What is the difference between Salons and the Foundations program?

View

Salons are an online introduction to Conversational Leadership, while the Foundations program is a more in-depth experience held in-person. Salons are a great way to see if the Foundations program is a good fit for you.
