Explore Conversational Leadership with a small group of peers

Introductory Salons are intimate, virtual gatherings designed as an invitation into the practice of Conversational Leadership. As the name suggests, a Salon is a space for exploration and experience; it is not a “training” per se.

Each hour-and-forty-five-minute session is dedicated to a single Element, explored through a blend of facilitator-led overviews and direct, personal engagement.

The Seven Elements:

  • Stopping the Conversation You Are Having Now
  • Making a Friend of the Unknown
  • Coming to Ground
  • Following the Path of Robust Vulnerability
  • Cultivating Artistry
  • Making the Invitation
  • The Harvest of Presence

Grounded in poetry, these sessions emphasize both the experience and the understanding of each of the Seven Elements through:

Evocative Inquiry: Moving beyond the surface through facilitated overviews and small and whole-group reflection.

Collaborative Reflection: Small-group and paired exercises that allow you to hear your own and others’ voices in relation to the work.

Integrated Practice: Light assignments and the opportunity to connect with conversation partners between sessions to help you carry the work into your daily life and vocation.

Salons offer a practical immersion into what it means to be more authentically present to your work, your community, and yourself.
